Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Authorpreneur, a software service operated by The Aligned Biz Co, LLC (“Authorpreneur,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at authorpreneur.io and the related software, features, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, subscribing, or purchasing credits, you agree to these Terms.

1. Order and Acceptance

By placing a subscription order or purchasing a credit pack through the Service, you make an offer to purchase access on these Terms. Your order is accepted when we (or our payment processor, Stripe) confirm payment and provision the corresponding credits to your account. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including for suspected fraud or misuse.

2. Service Availability

We work to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or factors outside our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime, latency, or service interruptions.

3. Prices and Payment

All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars and are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically on the same date each month unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We currently do not offer quarterly or annual subscription terms.

We may change pricing from time to time. Any pricing change for an existing subscription will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle and will be communicated to you in advance.

4. Credit Rollover Policy

Each credit issued through a subscription or one-time purchase is valid for 60 days from the date it was issued. Unused credits are forfeited after the 60-day window. For example, credits issued on June 1st expire on July 31st. Credits cannot be transferred between accounts or refunded for cash value.

5. Refunds and Cancellation

Due to the digital and instantly-provisioned nature of the Service, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds on subscription payments or credit pack purchases, in whole or in part, including for unused credits.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents future billing but does not refund previously charged amounts. Your existing credits remain usable until they expire on their natural 60-day schedule.

6. Generated Content

Source material: Any content you upload to Authorpreneur — including transcripts, notes, recordings, slides, articles, and other source material — remains your property. We do not claim ownership of your source material. We will only use it to provide the Service to you.

Generated manuscripts: Manuscripts, outlines, and other outputs generated by Authorpreneur from your source material are owned by you. Authorpreneur claims no ownership rights in the output. You are free to publish, distribute, sell, modify, or commercialize the generated manuscripts in any way permitted by applicable law and these Terms.

You are solely responsible for the legality of the source material you upload and the manuscripts you publish. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to upload all source material and that the resulting manuscript does not infringe the rights of any third party.

7. Use of AI

Authorpreneur uses third-party large language models and other AI systems to analyze your source material and generate manuscript outputs. AI-generated text may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or unintended similarities to other works. You are responsible for reviewing every manuscript before publication and for verifying the accuracy of any claims, statistics, citations, or factual statements included in the output. We make no representations as to the quality, accuracy, or fitness of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, design, copy, logos, trademarks, and underlying technology, is and remains the property of The Aligned Biz Co, LLC and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights in the Service itself to you. You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during the term of your subscription or credit balance.

9. Account Security and Passwords

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@authorpreneur.io if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither The Aligned Biz Co, LLC nor any of its officers, employees, or agents will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the total amount you paid us during that period.

11. No Guarantees

Authorpreneur is a publishing tool. We make no guarantees that any manuscript produced through the Service will sell copies, generate revenue, win awards, attract clients, secure speaking engagements, or produce any other specific outcome. Results depend on factors outside our control, including the quality of your source material, your marketing efforts, your audience, and the broader market.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
