This Privacy Policy explains how Authorpreneur, a software service operated by The Aligned Biz Co, LLC (“Authorpreneur,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and protects information from visitors and users of authorpreneur.io and the related Service.

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Service, and information from third parties.

  • Account information: name, email address, and any profile data you supply through our authentication provider.
  • Source material: documents, transcripts, recordings, and other files you upload to generate manuscripts.
  • Manuscript content: outputs generated from your source material and any edits you make within the Service.
  • Billing information: handled by Stripe; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage data: log files, device data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used for session management, analytics, and remembering preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service, including generating manuscripts from your source material.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription or credit balance.
  • To send transactional email (e.g., welcome, project completion, billing notices).
  • To improve product quality, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your uploaded source material or generated manuscripts to train shared AI models. Source material is used only to deliver the Service to you.

3. Service Providers

We use the following third-party providers to operate the Service. Each provider has its own privacy policy, and your information is handled under that provider’s terms when it transits or rests on their systems:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Clerk — user authentication and account management.
  • Vercel — application hosting and file storage (Vercel Blob).
  • Upstash — Redis-backed session and project data storage.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Anthropic — AI model provider used to analyze and generate manuscript content.
  • Google Analytics — aggregate site usage analytics.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure aggregate usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not function correctly without them.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, as well as the right to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@authorpreneur.io and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

We retain your account data and project files for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, project files and generated manuscripts are removed from active systems shortly thereafter; some records (such as billing history) may be retained as required by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other recognized transfer mechanisms to protect personal information.
